  1. So the war was caused by Helen because of her beauty?

  2. T- Helen was born as the daughter of Zeus, and with that brought dire consequences.
EX- "The most fascinating thing about Helen is her story. It was far better than she was." (Helen 4)
T- Why is Helen so important, yet does so little?"
Y- To me this felt a bit as an egotistical of a story as Narcisis. A war raged killing millions and millions of people, all for a simple girl born of god blood?

  3. T- Helen began the entire Trojan war, all because of her beauty.
EX-"Helen, the face that launched a thousand ships, was a tantalizing enigma from the very first."
T- Why would Aphrodite put a beauty spell on Helen if she knew it would start a ten years war?
Y- To me this story seemed to be blown a little buit out of proportion. An entire war over one woman? And why wouldn't she return to Sparta knowing that if she didn't there would be bloodshed? It just seems illogical to me and unnecessary.

I didni't realize that Helen would put her and Paris's life in jeopardy just so she doesn't have to be married to Menalaus.
"Helen was pherhaps the most inspired character in all literature."
Why would she put her life in jeopardy and start a war just so she won't be married to menalaus?
I don't really agree with what she did, she started the whole war.

  5. T: Helen is being forced into marrige with Menalaus. she is willing to put her's and paris's life in danger so she doesnt have to marry Menalaus.

EX:"Helen, the face that launched a thousand ships was a tantalizing enigma from the very first".

T: Why would Helens father force her into marrige?

Y: This made me feel thankfull that i live in a society where its okay to chose whom you marry.
